RESOLUTION NO. 4004
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, APPROVING
CONT~CT NO. 356 FOR WELL NO. 16 PUMP AND EQUIPMENT, AND GIVING
NOTICE... INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CQNTRACTNO.356 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
7 of the City of Vernon Contract No. 356, for Well No. 16 Pump and
8 Equipment., and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
10 determined that it is in the best interests of th~ City that
11 said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable State laws,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That Contract No. 356 is hereby approved
14 by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
15
SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
16 is hereby directed to file in his office in the City Hall of the
17 City of Vernon a copy of Contract No. 356.
18
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
19 is hereby directed to give notice in writing, inviting sealed
20 proposals or bids for Well No. 16 Pump and Equipment in accord-
21 ance with Contract NO. 356, and in accordance with this resolution

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general cir-
23 culation printed, published, or circulated in the City of Vernon,
24 the City Clerk is llereby directed to post said notice, or cause
25 the same to be P,QS~ed; in three (3) of the most public places
26 in tpe<i:ity; of. Vernon, to wit: The northwest corner of 38th

7 City of Vernon, California, at the office of the City Clerk of
8 said City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, until the hour
9 of two (2) o'clock P.M., on i;he 18th day of August, 1970, for
10 Well No. 16 PUmp'andEquipment, in accordance witll Contract No.
11 356 approved by said City. The propoEia1swill be publicly opened
12 and read in the Council Chambers of the City Hall located at 4305

Notice is further hereby given that all bidders may

13 responSibility, technical ability and experience. Such sworn
14 statement may be required before award is made to any particular
15 bidder.
16 To be entitled to consideration, each bid submitted
17 pursuant to this notice shall be made out on a form to be obta:1aed
18 at the Office of the Traffic Engineer; shall be accompanied by a
19cer1;ified check, draft, Qr, bid bond, payable at a ba11kallthori~ed
20 to do bl,lsiness in the state of California, made payable at sight
21 to the City Clerk of the City of Vernon, in an amount equal to
