2 A RESOLUTION OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON FIXING THE
RATE OF TAXES AND LEVYING THE TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
3 JULY 1, 1970.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That for the purpose of raising the sum of
6 money to be raised by taxation upon taxable property in the City
7 of Vernon as revenue to carryon the various departments of the
8 City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1970, the rate of
9 taxes for the different portions of the City of Vernon are hereby
10 fixed and the taxes are hereby levied on all taxable property in
11 the different portions of said City for the fiscal year beginning
12 July 1, 1970, in the number of cents upon each one hundred dollars
13 of the assessed value of said property, as assessed by the County
14 Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of said county
15 of Los Angeles, and for the several funds and purposes set forth
16 in the following table, the ,taxes levied upon property in each
17 portion of said City hereinafter described and designated by a
18 district number, being at the rates set opposite the designations
19 of the respective funds in the column "headed by the 'district
20 number which is prefixed to the description Of each such portion
21 of said City, as hereinafter stated.
:-a 2 DISTRICT NO.1- All that portion of the City of Vernon

as it existed prior to November 5, 1958.
24 DISTRICT NO.2: All that territory annexed to the City
25 of Vernon subsequent to November 5, 1958.

SECTION 2; There being no newspaper printed, pUblished
2 and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk isbereby
3 directed to certify to the passage of this resolution, and shall
4 post the same, or Cause the same to be posted, in three of the
5 most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest
.6 corner of 38th street and Santa Fe Avenue; at the northeast corner
7 of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin
8. board in the lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located
9 at 4305 santa Fe Avenue, in said City, and that immediately upon
10 the posting thereof this resolutio.n shall be in full force and
11 effect.
12 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18th day of August, 1970.
