2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, DETER-
MINING A NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL CIRCULATION, AUTHORIZING A PUB-
3 LICATION OF NOTICE OF. PUBLIC HEARING IN THE SAME, AND SCHEDULING
A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES NOS. 817, .818,
4 820, and 821.
5 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 81:[ o.fthe Ci tyof Vernon,
6 relating to the adoption of the Building Code has been read for
7 the first time by title only at a regular meeting of the City
8 Council of the City of Vernon, held on October 6, 1970, and
9 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 818, relating to the adoption
10 o.f the Uniform Building Code,Volume II, has been read for the
11 first time by title only at said meeting, and
12 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 820 of the City of Vernon,
13 relating to the adoption of the Uniform Plumbing Code has been
14 read for the first time by title only at said meeting, and
15 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 821 of the City of Vernon,
16 relating to the adoption of the National Electrical COde, has
17 been read for the first time by title only a,t said meeting, and
18 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 50022.3 of the Government
19 Code of the state of california, a notice of hearing must be
20 published in a newspap~r of general circulation, in o.r ~earest
21 to the Ci ty of Vernon.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City council of the City o.f Verno.n

24 does hereby determine that the ,Los Angeles Daily Journal is a
2 ewspaper of general circulation nearest to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Council does hereby schedule a
27 public hearing relating to. the adoption of Ordinances Nos. 817,
28 818, 820, and 821 of, the City of Vernon on the 4th day of November,
29 1970, at 2:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Council Chamber of the City
30 of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
32 authorizes and di.rects the City Clerk to publish a notice of

2 and incorporated herein by referenc+, in the Los Angeles Daily

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the city of Vernon is
6 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution, and
7 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be;in full force and
8 effect.
