A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERtlON~ ... ACCEPTING
THE BID OF SULLY MILLER, CONTRACTIN'G';:COMPANY, FOR 49th Afro 52nd
STREET IMPROVEMENT, SANTA FE AVENuE 'To . ALAMEDA STREET, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 351 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 351 was approved by the city of
7 Vernon, and pursuant to ReSOlution No. 4012 sealed bids were
8 opened on October 6,.1970, and
9 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to R. H. King, Director
10 of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council under date
11 of October 9,1970, recommending that 49th and 52nd street
12 improvement, Santa Fe Avenue to Alameda Street, be awarded to
13 Sully Miller contracting company, for the sum of $222,818.70,
14 being the lowest bid meeting the contract requirements,
15 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTIDN 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby'.award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
18 tion of R. H. King, Director of Public Works, and authorizes
19 the execution ofa contract with Sully Miller Construotion
20 Company in accordance with contract No. 351 of the city of
21 Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected, and th.e
23 city Clerk is instructed to return all checks.. or drafts to
24 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTIO~ 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
27 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and e.ffect.
28 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 20th <:lay of October, 1970.
