2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AUTHORIZ-
ING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN CITY RECORDS, DOCUMENTS, INSTRU-
:3 MENTS, BOOKS AND PAPERS, PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION
34090.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Vernon, under
7 date of January 6, 1971, has recommended that certain records,
8 docwnents, instrwnents, books and papers under his charge and
9 under the charge of other department heads be destroyed, and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds
11 that none of the foregoing records affect the title to real
12 property, or li.ens thereon, and
13 WHERBi\.S, the City Council of. the'City of Vernon finds
14 that none of said records are court records nor are records
15 required to be kept by statute,ahd that the same are more than
16 seven years old, and that none of said records are minutes,
17 ordinances, or resolutions of the legislative body of the City of
18 Vernon, and
19 WHEREAS, the written consent of the City Attorney
20 and the heads of each appropriate City Department to the des-
21 truction of such records have been obtained,
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of
24 Vernon does hereby authorize the destruction by the department
25 head tin charge of said records, without making a copy thereof.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of
27 Vernon finds that the same are no longer required for any pur-
28 poses of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 3: That the records, docwnents, instrwnents,
30 books or papers to be destroyed are as follows; all for the
31 calendar year 1963:
