2 A RESOLUTION OF T.HECITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AUTHORIZIN
THE SUBMlSS ION OF .~REQUEST, FOR THE ALLOCAT~QN OF FUNDS FROM THE
:3 PUBLIC U'fILITIES COMMISSION 9F THE StATE OF2CALIFORNIA.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C1TY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS., Robert H.King" Dir~ctorof Public Works, has
6 submitted at;equest to the City Council dated January 20, 1971, an
7 WHEREAS, said request urges the City Council to request
8 an allocation of funds from the Public Utilities Commission in the
9 maxiaumamount of $4,780.00, however, not to exceed one-half of
10 the City of Vernon's actual costs of constructing .protection at
-
11 the crossing of 37th Street and the Union Pacific tracks, Crossing
12 No. 3A-S.07-C, and
13 WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interests of the City
14 of Vernon, and for the benefit of the general public of the State
15 of California, that said request for allocation of funds be
16 executed,
17 NOW ,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 does hereby approve the recommendation of the Director of Public
20 Works dated January 20, 1971, and authorizes and directs the Mayor
21 and City Clerk of the City of Vernon to execute and forward to the
22 Public Utilities Commission of the State of California a request
23 for the allocation of funds in the form set forth and attached to
24 the letter of the Director of Public Works referred to above.

SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
26 hereby authorized and directed to certify to the passage of this
27 resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full
28 force and .effect.
