13 NOW, .THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That Contract No. 360 is hereby approved

15 by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION<2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
17 is hereby directed to file in his office in the City Hall, of'the
18 City of Vernon, a copy of Contract No. 360.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
is h~reby directed.to give notice in writing, inviting sealed
proposals or bids for Well No. 17 - Pwnp and Equipment Installa-
tion in accordance with Contract No. 360., and in accordance with
this resolution.

SECTION 5: The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem. wages and
rates for legal holidays and for overt.ime work in the locality
in which the work is to be performed, described in Contract No.
360, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to
execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful
bidder, and that the general prevailing rate of per diem wag~s
and rates for legal holidays and for overtime work in the locality
of the execution of said contract No. 360 for each craft, classi-
fication,or type of workman needed ;is set forth in said contract
and incorporated by reference at this point .for all purposes as
if set forth in full, and hereby approved by the City COUI\ei1 of
the City of Vernon.
SECTION 6: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
is ,directedt:o post said notice forthwith, and the first pos.ting
of said notice shall be not less than ten (10) days before 'the
date of opening bids for the proposed work. That said notice
shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by
the City of <Vernon, California, at the office of the Ci~y Clerk
of said.City,atthe City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, until the
hour of two (2) o'clock P.M. on the 4th day OfMay,19?1, and in
accordance with Contract No. 360 approved by said City.
SECTION 7: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

The construction shall be in accordance with Plan No.
WS 1849 and Contract No. 360 heretofore approved by the City

Bidders'a.re hereby notified that, pursuant to the
provisions of Sections 1770-1781, inclusive, of the Labor Code of'
the State of Californi.a, the city Council of the City of Vernon
has ascertained the' general prevailing rate of per diem wages
and rates for legal holidays and for overtime work in the
locality in which this work is to be performed, for each craft or

26 nish a labor and material bond in an amount equal to fifty per
27 cent (50'7.) of the Contract price, and a faithful performance
28 bond in an amount equal to one hundred per cent (100%) of the

30 Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw
31 his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for
32 the opening thereof.
