A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE WORK-OF SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY FOR THE WORK OF
IMPROVING. 49th AND 52nd STREET BETWEEN SANTA FE AVENUE AND
ALAMEDA STREET PURSUANT TO CONTRACT NO. 351 OF THE CITY OF ,VERNON.

WHERBAS', Robert H.' ICing, bi.~ector of Public Works, has
11 reported to the CityCoun~il tinder date of April 9, 1971, that
12 said work has been coinplet'ed,arid"recommends that the work be
1:3 accepted and payment -be. mSlde tq the contractor in accordance with
14 the agreement,
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the work of improving 49th and 52nd
17 Street, between Santa Fe Avenue and Alameda Street, in accordance
18 with Contract No. 351 of the City of Vernon, is hereby approved
19 and accepted by the City of Vernon.
20 SECTION 2: That partial payments in the amount of
21 $216,687.25 have been made,andthat a final partial payme:Qt in
22 the amount of $36,704.10 is payable on the adoption ofth1s
23 reso1ution,.and that the remaining fifteen (15%.) percent of t:.h~
24 total. contract amount, or. the swn of $3.2,503.09 is payable thirty-
25 five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution, a'Q.d.t:n~ City
26 Council hereby directs the payment of said sums to Sul1y-l(iller
27 Contracting Company.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City.of Vernon
2'9 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
30 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
