THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:'
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Vernon Contract No. 357, providing for Fruitland
Avenue Improvement, Santa Fe Avenue to So.t() Street,,. 57th Street
Improvement, 'Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue, and Heater
Remixing and Asphalt Resurfacing of Certain Streets, all within
the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the, City of Vernon has
detennined that it is in the best intere.sts of the City that said
contract be awarded in accordance with applicable State laws,
NOW, THEREFpaE1 BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That Contract No. 357 is hereby approved

SECTION 6: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
19 is directed to post said notice forthwith, and the first posting
20 of said notice shall be not less than ten (10) days before the
21 date of opening bids for the proposed work. That said notice
22 shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by
23 the City of Vernon, California, at the office of the City Clerk
24 of said City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, 1JD,ti1:the
25 hour of two (2) o'clock P.M. on the 4th day of May, 1971, and in
26 accordance with Contract No.. 357 approved by said City.

SECTION 7: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
28 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
29 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
30 ADOPTED. and APPROVED this 20th day of April, 1971.

Notice is further hereby given that all bidders may
submit with their bids a sworn statement of their financial
responsibility, techni~al ability ~nd experience. Such sworn
statement may be required before award is made to any particular
bidder.

4 ac~ompanied bya certified check, draft or bid bond, payable at
