A RESOLUTION OF THE CITYCOONCIL' OF THE CITY OF VERlfON, REQUESTING
.AN ALLOCATION .oF COUNTY AID TO CITIES FUNDS FOR. 'rHECONSTRt}CTION
OF PAVDiENTIN .THE MEDIAN AREAJONCPACtFtCBOULEVARD.

THE CIty. COUNCIL ,OF THE CITY OF VERNONRESOLVltS;AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated
certain moneys to the City of Vernon as County Aid to Cities; and
WHEREAS, the. City Council desires to expend the amount/o,f
$llO,OOO.OOpf said funds accrued to the City for thePCltY1.11g,of
the currently unpaved median ar,ea and resurfacing offactfic
10 Boulevard, together some other appurtenant work from S-antaFe
11 Avenue to the southerly City boundarY; and
12 WHEREAS, Pacific: Boulevard isitu:luded in the City's
1:3 currently approved Select Syst.em of Street$i;
14 NOW, tHEREFORE, the City.Council of the City of Vernon..
15 resolves as follows:

SSCTION 1: That the. County of~.s Angeles is hereby
17 requested to allocate $110,000.00 of the Aid to Cities Funds
18 apportioned to the City of Vernon for the work. specified above
19 (and to pay this amount to the City whenclafmed).

SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
21 hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this resolu~ion
22 to the Los Angeles County Road Conuuissioner for processing.

SECTION 3: That the.City Clerk of. the City of Vernon
24 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
25 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of May, 1971.
