RESOLUTION NO. 4066
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF VERNON PAVING COMPANY FOR PACIFIC BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENT
FROM SANTA FE AVENUE TO SOUTH CITY BOUND~.~] N ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 361 OF THE CITY OF VERNON. tr'#
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 361 was approved by the City
Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution No. 4063,
and sealed bids were opened on the 3rd day of August, 1971, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Robert H. King,
Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
under date of August 10, 1971, recommending that the contract be
executed with Vernon Paving Company for the sum of $87,999.00,
13 being the lowest bid meeting the contract requirements,
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
15 SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 does hereby award the contract, in accordance with the recommenda-
17 tion of Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, and authorizes
18 the execution ofa contract with Vernon Paving Company, in
19 accordance with Contract No. 361 of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected, and the City
21 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders any
22 cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
24 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
25 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
