RESOLUTION NO. 4074
A RESOLUTION OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
TIlE BID OF WALKER COATING COMPANY AND/OR WALKER COATING INCOR-
PORATED FOR PAVEMENT MARKER INSTALLATION ON BANDINI BOULEVARD,
DOWNEY ROAD TO ATLANTIC BOULEVARD, IN ACCORDANCE WITlI CONTRACT
NO. 364 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 364 was approved by the City
Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution No. 4070,
and field bids were opened on October 19, 1971, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Robert H. King,
Director of Public Works, Who has reported to the City Council,
under date of October 28, 1971, recommending that the contract be
executed with Walker Coating Company and/or Walker Coating Incor-
porated for the sum of Eight Thousand Five Hundred Forty Dollars
and Twenty Cents ($8,540.20), being the lowest bid meeting the
contract requirements,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract, in accordance with the recommen-
dation of Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, and autho-
rizes the execution of a contract with Walker Coating Company
and/or Walker Coating Incorporated, in accordance with Contract
No. 364 of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected, and the
City Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful
bidders any cashier's or' certified checks deposited with said
bids.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
