1 RESOLUTION NO. 4077
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY, COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
TVE WORK OF PACIFIC BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENT FROM SANTA FE AVENUE
3 TO THE SOUTH CITY BOUNDARY, PURSUANT TO CONTRACT NO. 361 OF TIlE
CITY OF VERNON

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, Vernon Paving Company was awarded the Contract for
7 Pacific Boulevard Improvement, from Santa Fe Avenue to the South
8 City Boundary, pursuant to Contract No. 361 of the City of Vernon,
9 and
10 WHEREAS, Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, has
11 reported to the City Council, under date of November 11, 1971,
12 that said work has been completed and recommends that the work be
13 accepted and payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with
14 the agreement,
15 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION:' 1:
That the work of Pacific Boulevard Improvement
17 from Santa Fe Avenue to the South City Boundary, pursuant to
18 Contract No. 361 of the City of Vernon is hereby approved and
19 accepted by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That the total contract amount is Eighty Eight
20
21 Thousand Seven Hundred Forty One Dollars and Ninety Cents
22 ($88,741.90), based upon actual quantities and unit prices. That
23 partial payments in the amount of Forty Nine Thousand Two Hundred
24 Fifty Seven Dollars and Seven Cents, ($49,257.07) have been made
25 and that a partial payment at this time, in the amount of Twenty
26 Six Thousand One Hundred Seventy Three Dollars and Fifty Four
27 Cents ($26,173.54) is now due. That the remaining Fifteen Percen
28 (15%) of the total Contract amount, or the sum of Thirteen Thou-
29 sand Three Hundred Eleven Dollars and Twenty Nine Cents
30 ($13,311.29) is payable Thirty Five (35) days after the adoption
31 of this R.eso1ution, and the City Council hereby directs payments
32 of said sums to Vernon Paving Company.

SECTION 3:
That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon

2 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 16th day of November, 1971.
