ITS CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF CHBLBS H. KAILLIAD. A HIIDENT
3 AND COUNCILMAN OF THE CIn OF VERNON
4 TIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON USOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHElIAS. CIlAl.t!S H. NAILLIAI.D has been a longtime resident
6 of the City of Vernon, and
7 WHEUAS, CIlA1lLES H. MAILLIAIJ) was elected. to the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon on April 18, 1944, and was continuously
9 reelected. thereafter and served faithfully in his role as Council-
10 man until the date of his death, to wit: December 5, 1'71, and
11 WBEUAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has lost a
12 valuable and longtime friend and. resident of the City of Vernon,
13 and
14 WHDEAS, each member of the City Council of the City of
15 Vernon feels deeply the loss sustained,
16 NOW THEUFOIE BE IT DSOLVED:
17 Section I: That the City Council of the City of Vernon takes
18 this opportunity of expressing its deepest sorrow at the passing
19 of CHatES H. MAILLIAltD.
20 Section 2: That this llesolution be adopte,d by the City
21 Council at regular session and that a eopy of this llesolution be
22 forwarded to the bereaved widow, SYLVIA MAILLIAltD.
23 Section 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vern.on is he~eby
24 directed to certify to the passage of this llesolution and there-
25 upon and thereafter the s_e shall be in full foree and effect.
