RESOLUTION NO. 4086
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF CLEANING AND CEMENT LINING OF WATER MAINS PURSUANT TO
3 CONTRACT NO. 362 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, AMERON, INCORPORATED, PIPE LINING DIVISION was
6 awarded the contract for the work of cleaning and cement lining of
7 water mains, pursuant to Contract No. 362 of the City of Vernon
8 and,

WHEREAS, Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, has
10 xeported to the City Council of the City of Vernon under date of
11 December 15, 1971, that said work has been completed and recommends
12 that the work be accepted and payment be made to the contractor
13 in accordance with the agreement,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the cleaning and cement lining of water
16 mains, pursuant to Contract No. 362 of the City of Vernon is hereby
17 approved and accepted by the City of Vernon.

Section 2: That partial payments in the amount of One
19 Hundred Forty Thousand Two Hundred Nineteen Dollars and Eighty Seve
20 Cents ($140,219.87) have been made and that the remaining Fifteen
21 Percent (15%) of the Contract amount, or the sum of Twenty Four
22 Thousand Seven Hundred Forty Four Dollars and Sixty Eight Cents
23 ($24,744.68) is payable Thirty Five (35) days after the adoption
24 of this Resolution, and the City Council hereby directs the payment
25 of said sum to Ameron, Incorporated, Pipe Lining Division.

Section 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
27 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
28 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
