6 THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTION NO. 4088
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA
CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 11th DAY OF APR.IL
1972, FOR. THE ELECTION OF CER.TAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS REQlJIHID
BY THE PR.OVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING
TO GENERAL LAW CITIES.
7 WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to
8 General Law Cities in the State of California, a regular general
9 municipal election shall be held on the 11th day of April, 1972,
10 for the election of two (2) members of the City Council of said
11 City for the full term of four (4) years;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: That pursuant to the requirements of the laws
14 of the State of California, relating to General Law Cities within
15 said State, there shall be, and there is hereby called and ordered
16 held in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of Ca1i-
17 fornia, on Tuesday, the 11th day of April, 1972, a regular general
18 municipal election of the qualified electors of said City for the
19 purpose of electing two (2) members of the City Council of said
20 City for the full term of four (4) years.

Section 2: That ballots to be used at said election shall
22 be, both as to form and matter contained therein, such as may be
23 required by law to be used thereat.

Section 3: That the City Clerk of said City is hereby
25 authorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and
26 all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies,
27 equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to pro-
28 per1y and lawfully conduct said election.

Section 4: That for the purpose of holding said regular
30 general municipal election, there shall be and are hereby estab-
31 1ished one (1) voting precinct consisting (of consolidations) of
32 the regular election prkincts in the City of Vernon, established

1 for the holding of state and county elections, as said regular
2 election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this reso1u-
3 tion. That the polling place for the respective precinct shall be
4 the place hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter
5 named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of sai
6 City and of the voting precinct are hereby appointed officers of
7 election for the voting precinct and they shall hold said election
8 and make return tHereof in the ,manner provided by law.
9 Voting Precinct 1, comprising regular election precincts
10 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Section 5: That the compensation of the persons herein-
before named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of
Twenty-one ($21.00) Dollars for each Inspector and Twenty-one
($21.00) Dollars for each Judge and Clerk for said election.
Section 6: That the polls for said election shall be open
at seven o'clock A.M. of the day of said election and shall remain
open continuously from said time until seven o'clock P.M. of the
same day when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in
Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of California.
Section 7: That in all particulars not recited in this
Resolution, said election shall be held and conducted as provided
hy law for holding municipal elections in said City.
Section 8: That notice of the time and place of holding
said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby autho-
rized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional
notice of said election, in time, form and manner as required
