RESOLUTION NO. 4091
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZING
THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN CITY RECORDS, DOCUMENTS, INSTRUMENTS,
BOOKS AND PAPERS, PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 34090.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Vernon, under date
of January 6, 1972, has recommended that certain records, documents,
instruments, books and papers under his charge and under the
charge of other department heads be destroyed, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds that
none of the foregoing records affect the title to real property,
or liens thereon, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds that
none of said records are court records nor are records required to
be kept by statute, and that the same are more than seven years
old, and that none of said records are minutes, ordinances, or
resolutions of the legislative body of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, the written consent of the City Attorney and the
heads of each a ppropriate City Department to the destruction of
such records have been obtained,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
22 does hereby authorize the destruction by the department head in
23 charge of said records, without making a copy thereof.

Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
25 finds that the same are no longer required for any purposes of the
26 City of Vernon.

Section 3: That the records, documents, instruments, books
or papers to be destroyed are as follows; all for the calendar
