RESOLUTION NO. 4105
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID. OF SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY FOR 26th STREET
IMPROVEMENT, DOWNEY ROAD TO ATLANTIC BOULEVARD, INDIANA, BONNIE
BEACH AND AYERS IMPROVEMENT, 26th STREET TO BANDINI BOULEVARD, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 354 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 354 was approved by the City Counc.
of the City of Vernon pursuant to Resolution No. 4101, and field
bids were opened on April 4, 1972, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Robert H. King,
Director of Public Works, was reported to the City Council, under
date of Ap r;i. 1 13, 1972, reconnnending that the Contract be executed
with Sully-Miller Contracting Company for the sum of One Hundred
Eighty Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Forty Dollars and Thirteen
Cents ($188,740.13), being the lowest bid within the Contract
requirements,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the reconnnenda-
tion of Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, and authorizes
the execution of a contract with Sully-Miller Contracting Company,
in accordance with Contract No. 354 of the City of Vernon.
Section 2: That all other bids are rejected and the
City Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bid-
ders any cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.
Section 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
27 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
28 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18th day of April, 1972.
