.1 RESOLUTION NO. 4107
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON SETTING THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING AND DIRECTING THE GIVING OF
3 NOTICE THEREOF FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENACTING A RESOLUTION IN ACCOR-
DANCE WITH S 21107.5 OF THE VEHICLE CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

5 THE CITY COUNe IL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, certain private streets located within the City
7 of Vernon have been opened for public use, and
8 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires
9 to determine whether the same are generally held open for use of
10 the public for purposes of vehicular travel, and which so connect
11 with highways that the public cannot determine that such roads are
12 not highways, and
13 WHEREAS, pursuant to S 21107.5 of the Vehicle Code of the
14 State of California, a public hearing must be held to determine
15 the foregoing, and ten (10) days' prior written notice to the
16 owner of such privately owned and maintained roads must be given,
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES OLVED:

Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 determines that at the hour of two o'clock (2:00) p.m., on
20 Tuesday, May 2, 1972, a hearing will be held pursuant to Vehicle
21 Code S 21107.5 to determine whether privately owned and maintained
22 roads, as described below, are generally held open for the use of
23 the public for purposes of vehicular travel, and which so connect
24 with highways that the public cannot determine that such roads are
25 not highways.

Section 2: That the following private roads shown on
27 Record of Survey filed in Book 84 at Pages 58 and 59, filed with
28 the Los Angeles County Recorder, and describe said private roads
29 open to public use:
30 Maywood Avenue, North end to Charter Street,
31 Exchange Avenue to District Boulevard and
32 District Boulevard to Fruitland Avenue.

Also, the following private streets shown on Record of Survey
in Book 84, at page 60:
Sunol Drive
Canning Street (now known as Ayers Avenue)
Ayers Avenue (southerly of Bandini Boulevard)
Section 3: That the City of Vernon hereby determines
that the owner of the privately owned and maintained roads invol-
ved, as set forth above, is Santa Fe Land Improvement Company.
Section 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to give Notice of said public hearing to Santa Fe
Land Improvement Company by depositing, postage prepaid, a copy of
this Resolution, addressed to Santa Fe Land Improvement Company,
121 East 6th Street, Suite 309, Los Angeles, California 90014, at
least ten (10) days prior to said public hearing.
Section 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and

ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18th day of April, 1972.
