5 I THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: i

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 835 of the City of Vernon relating
7 to the adoption of the Uniform Fire Code has been read for the first
8 time by title only, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
9 City of Vernon, held on September 19, 1972, and
10
WHEREAS, pursuant to ~ 50022.3 of the Government Code of
11 the State of California, a Notice of Hearing must be published in a
12 newspaper of general circulation, in or nearest to the City of
13 Vernon,

ALL INTERESTED PARTIES.. THAT ORDINANCE NO. 835 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
4 HAS HAD A FIRST READING. THAT SAID ORDINANCE IS ENTITLED:

-UNIFORM FIRE CODE PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS
GOVERNING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE AND
PROPERTY FROM FIRE OR EXPLOSION, AND ESTABLISHING
A BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION AND PROVIDING OFFICERS
THEREFOR AND .DEFINING THEIR POWERS AND DUTIES"
9 PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that said Hearing will be held on the
10 I 17th day of October, 1972, at 2:00 p.m., in the City Council chamber
11 of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,

19 adopt a Uniform Fire Code and to create a Bureau of Fire Prevention
20 for the City of Vernon, and the same is determined to be necessary
for the public's safety, comfort, convenience and welfare within the
