Dear Mayor:
BRIDGE NO. 1455
26TH STREET OVER DOWNEY ROAD
The Road Departmentl s recent annual inspection of the subject
bridge disclosed that both ends of the median pier cap have developed
long diagonal cracks.
The Road Commissioner has discussed this problem with Ire
and we agree that repairs should be made as soon as possible.
Since this is a major highway facility of general County interest,
I will be pleased to recommend to the Board of Supervisors that the
County take jurisdiction of the bridge to perform the necessary repair
work and that the cost, estimated to be $6,000, be paid for with County
funds.
It is my pleasure to work with your City in the improvement
of the highway system to meet the needs of our community.
Sincerely.;
ERNEST E. DEBS
