RESOLUTION NO. 4135
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF GEORGE MILLER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR DISTRICT BOULE-
VARD SEWER RECONSTRUCTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 370 OF
THE CITY OF VERNON

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 370 was approved by the City
Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution No. 4131, and
sealed bids were opened on December 5, 1972, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Robert H. King,
Director of Public Works who has reported to the City Council under
date of December 11, 1972, recommending that the Contract be execu-
ted with George Miller Construction Company, for the sum of Eight
Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty One Dollars and Seventy Three Cents,
($8,831.73), being the lowest bid within the Contract requirements,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: i
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon I

the execution of a Contract with George Miller Construction compan~1

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the ,
City Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidderst
does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, and authorizes
in accordance with Contract No. 370 of the City of Vernon.
any cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
