RESOLUTION NO. 4143
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING ~
RESOLUTION NO. 4116, DATED JUNE 20, 1972
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Resolution No. 4116, dated June 20, 1972,
6 is hereby amended by eliminating from Schedule I the following
7 Classification effective March 1, 1973:
City Engineer, Assistant Director
of Public Works

SECTION 3: That Resolution No. 4116, dated June 20, 1972,
is hereby amended by adding to Schedule V the following Classifi- I
cation effective April 1, 1973: I
Supervising Building Inspector 1603 per month I
SECTION 4: That Resolution No. 4116, dated June 20, 1972,1
is hereby amended by eliminating from Schedule I of said Resolu-
tion any reference to the designated position of f1City Engineer",
and in particular said reference as it is contained on Page -2-
of said Schedule I at line 18 and line 24 and, in addition, on
Page -3- of said Schedule I on line 4 1/2.
SECTION 5: That Resolution No. 4116, dated June 20, 1972,
is hereby amended by deleting from Schedule V the last paragraph
thereof, commencing on Page 3 and inserting in lieu the following:
"In addition to said salaries, the City Clerk, the Assistant Direc
tor of Civil Defense, and the Purchasing Agent, when authorized in
advance by the City Council, shall receive, when using their own

motor vehicles, in the service of the City, an additional sum of
$50.00 per month. The Supervising Building Inspector and the
Inspectors in the Building Department, when authorized in advance
by the City Council, shall receive, when using their own motor
vehicles in the service of the City, an additional sum of $75.00
per month. The City shall not be responsible for repairs or any
additional cost for upkeep, fuel, lubrication, replacement in
whole or in part, or other expenses in connection with any such
vehicles beyond the amounts set forth in this paragraph."
SECTION 6: That except as amended herein, Resolution No.
4116 shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 7: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of February, 1973.
