A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 3032, DATED AUGUST 5, 1969

Section 1: RESOLUTION NO. 3032 is hereby amended by deleting therd-

from SECTIONS 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 and inserting in lieu thereof the I

"SECTION 1: That the position of Director of Public i
Works is hereby established for the purpose of acting as departmentl
head of the Engineering Department, the Water Department, the
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

ment of the City of Vernon. I
SECTION 2: That the responsibilities of the City Engineer ,I

the Superintendent of the Water Department, the Traffic Engineer
and the Superintendent of Building be and the same hereby are
delegated to the Director of Public Works. Wherever in any publi-
cation, code, ordinance or resolution reference is made to "the
Building Official" or Jtthe Superintendent of Building", the same
shall be deemed to refer to the Director of Public Works acting as
the department head of the Building Department.
SECTION 4: That the Director of Public Works shall be
the person designated as the same, from time to time, by the City
Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 5: That the Director of Public Works shall
receive a salary as set forth in Resolution No. 4116 or any other
subsequent Resolution effecting salaries or compensation within
the City of Vernon insofar as the same shall pertain to the
Director of Public Works.
SECTION 6: SECTION 1 and SECTION 2 of this Resolution
shall take effect and be in full force and effect as of April 1,
1973. SECTION 4 and SECTION 5 shall take effect and be in full
force and effect as of March 1, 1973.ft
