RESOLUTION NO. 4147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON REQUESTING
'J.'HE SUBMISSION OF A REQUEST FOR THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FROM THE
:PUBLIC UTILInES,CQMMISSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

THE CITY' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON' RESOLvEs AS"" FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works, has
submitted a Request to the City Council of, the City of Vernon dated
March 9, 1973, and
WHEREAS, said Request urges the City Council of the City of
Vernon to request the allocation of funds from the Public Utilities
Commission of the State of California in the maximum amount of
Eight Thousand Four Hundred Twenty Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents
($8,427.50) for Crossing No.3A-3.9, however not to exceed one-half
(1/2) of the City of Vernon's actual costs of constructing protec-
tion at said Crossing, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interests of the City of
Vernon and for the benefit of the general public of the State of
California that said Request for Allocation of Funds be executed,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby approve the recommendation of the Director of Public Works
dated March 9, 1973, and authorizes and directs the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Vernon to execute and forward to the Public
Utilities Commission of the State of California a Request for the
Allocation of Funds in the form set forth and attached to the
letter of the Director of Public Works referred to above.

SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
