Ladies and Gentlemen:
Resolution No. 3044 adopted a license fee schedule
applicable to licences granted pursuant to the
Encroachment Ordinance, Ordinance No. 796. For pipe
lines or conduits along a street, the issuance fee
is One Thousand Dollars with an annual renewal fee
of One Hundred Dollars per annum, regardless of the
length of the line. It is felt that the annual re~
newal fee should consider the length of the line
involved.
It is recommended that Resolution No. 3044 be amended
by adding in Section 1, paragraph (a) at line 16 the
following:
One Hundred Dollars shall be the minimum annual renewal
fee for length of line up to one-half mile. For length
of line greater than one-half mile, the annual renewal
fee shall be increased proportionally.
Respectfully submitted,
~z:~
