14 authorized to execute and deliver the Final Release approved by its

Western Liquid Asphalt cases -
EdRington Settlements
HONORABLE MEMBERS:
This office has been contacted by the Office of the
Attorney General of the State of California recommending and
requesting that the City of Vernon, along with other cities
involved in the above matters, execute Final Releases for
settlements with the above companies and, further, adopt Reso-
lutions approving said settlements.
I would recommend that the foregoing requests be honored,
and for that purpose I have prepared Resolutions and recommend
that the same be adopted. In addition, I would reco1llllend that
the Mayor be authorized to execute the Final Settlement Agree-
ments and that the same then be forwarded to the Attorney
General's Office.
