RESOLUTION NO. 4174
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF GEORGE MILLER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY -FOR MANHOLE BOTTOM
RECONSTRUCTION PURSUANT TO CONTRACT NO. 372
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, GEORGE MILLER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY was awarded
the Contract of Manhole Bottom Reconstruction pursuant to Contract
No. 372 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works
has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon under date
of August 20, 1973, that said work has been completed and recom-
mends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the con-
tractor in accordance with the agreement;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the work for Manhole Bottom Reconstruc-
tion pursuant to Contract No. 372 of the City of Vernon is hereby
approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The total Contract amount is Fourteen Thou-
sand Eight Hundred and Five Dollars ($14,805.00). That there is
now due to the Contractor the final partial payment totaling
Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Four Dollars and Twenty Five
Cents ($12,584.25), which should be paid at this time and the re-
maining Fifteen Percent (15%) of the total Contract amount or the
sum of Two Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Dollars and Seventy Five
Cents ($2,220.75) is payable Thirty Five (35) days after the

adoption of this Resolution and the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to GEORGE
MILLER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
