2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 4019

4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4019 was adopted by the City
6 Council of the City of Vernon on November 17 , 1970, and
7
WHEREAS, said Resolution did define the holidays for the
8 City of Vernon wherein the public offices of the City of Vernon
9 should be closed, and
10
WHEREAS, November 6, 1973, has been designated as a state
11 wide election, the same being not contemplated by the City Council
12 of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Section 1(12} of said Resolution
13 No. 4019,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That Resolution No. 4019 of the City of Ver-
16 non is hereby amended to eliminate November 6, 1973, a state-wide
17 election day, as a holiday for the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: Excepting as amended by this Resolution,
19 Resolution No. 4019 shall remain in full force and effect.
20
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
21 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
22 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
23 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 18th day of October, 1973
