5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
7 the City of Vernon Specifications No. 374 for the furnishing and
8 delivery to the City of Vernon one Rescue Truck and Equipment,
9 and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
11 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
12 that one Rescue Truck and Equipment, in accordance with Specifi-
13 cations No. 374,be purchased,
14 NOW t THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That Specifications No. 374 is hereby ap-
16 proved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
18 is hereby directed to file in his Office in the City Hall of the
19 City of Vernon a copy of Specifications No. 374.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
21 is hereby directed to give Notice in writing inviting sealed pro-
22 posals or bids for the furnishing and delivery to the City of
23 Vernon of one Rescue Truck and Equipment in accordance with Speci-
24 fications No. 374 and in accordance with this Resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
26 tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
27 City Clerk is hereby directed to post said Notice or cause the
28 same to be posted in three (3) of the most public places within
29 the City of Vernon to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and
30 Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boolevard and
31 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
32 City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue

1 Vernon, California 90058, until the hour of two o'clock (2:00)
2 P. M., on November 20, 1973, and in accordance with Specifications
3 No. 374 approved by said City.

SECTION 5: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
5 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon ani
6 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
7 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 6th day of November, 1973.

ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 374
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Vernon,
California, at the City Clerk's Office of said Ci~y at 4305 Santa
Fe Avenue, Vernon 90058, California, until 2:00 P.M. on November
20, 1973, for furnishing and delivery to the City of Vernon one
RESCUE TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT in accordance with Specifications No. ...
8 374 approved by said City. The proposals will be publicly opened
9 and read in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, located at
10 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California, on the date and at the
11 above mentioned time. Specifications may be obtained at the City

The equipment to be furnished under said specifications
is as follows:
ONE RESCUE TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT

Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or
cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of

the total bid price of all equipment items as a guarantee that
the bidder, if an award is made in accordance with the terms of
his proposal, will furnish the above described equipment in accor-
dance with the specifications upon the issuance of a Vernon
purchase order.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to
waive any informality in any bid, and to make awards as the
interests of the City may require.
The bidder is required to specify the proposed date of
delivery.
Each proposal must be delivered to the City Clerk's
Office in a sealed envelope at or before the time stated in this
notice and must be plainly marked: "PROPOSAL FOR THE FURNISHING
AND DELIVERY TO THE CITY OF VERNON ONE RESCUE TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT
