RESOLUTION NO. 4186
2 ,A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON REQUESTING
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO PERMIT
3 THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SER-
VICES TO THE CITY OF VERNON RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OFA GENERAL
4 MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON MARCH 5, 1974.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in
7 the City of Vernon on March 5, 1974; and
8 WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in
9 relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and
10 polling place inserts to the registered voters of the City, and it
11 will facilitate such mailing if the R.egistrar of Voters of the
12 County of Los Angeles will prepare and furnish the City the im-
13 printing of the names and addresses of the registered voters of
14 said City on IBM polling place inserts furnished by the City, and
15 after bursting the forms will insert the polling place insert and
16 sample ballot into envelopes, all to be furnished by the City, wi1
17 place all envelopes in zip-coded mail bags, advise the City Clerk
18 of the number of pieces to be mailed, prepare POD Form 3602,
19 trStatement of Mailing Matter With Permit Imprintstr, and advise the
20 City Clerk when work is complete so delivery can be arranged; and
21 WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service
22 shall be paid by the City of Vernon;
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Section
25 22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this City
26 Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to
27 permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to said City
28 for use in conducting said election to be held on March 5, 1974,
29 the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters
30 of said City on IBM polling place inserts furnished by the City

31 and after bursting the forms to insert the polling place insert
32 and sample ballots into envelopes, all to be furnished by the City,

1 will place all envelopes in zip-coded mail bags, advise the City

SECTION 2: That said City shall reimburse said County
6 for services performed when the work is completed and upon pre-
7 sentation to the City of a properly approved bill.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
9 forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said
10 Registrar of Voters, each a certified copy of this Resolution.

SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
12 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon ani
13 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
14 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of December, 1973.
