4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTIOli NO. 4190
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 4019
5 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4019 was adopted by the City
6 Council of the City of Vernon on November 17, 1970; and
7 WHEREAS, said Resolution did define the holidays for the
8 City of Vernon wherein the public offices of the City of Vernon
9 should be closed; and
10 WHEREAS, said Resolution provides that the City Council
11 of the City of Vernon may designate other days as holidays for
12 said City of Vernon and days When the public offices of the City
13 of Vernon shall be closed; and
14 WHEREAS, December 24, 1973 and December 31, 1973 fall on
15 the Monday before Christmas and the Monday before New Year's Day
16 respectively; and
17 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon is an industrial city and has
18 determined that many of the industries will be closed on those
19 days,
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
21 SECTION 1: That Resolution No. 4019 of the City Councilof
22 the City of Vernon is hereby amended to include December 24, 1973,
23 and December 31, 1973 as days When the public offices of the City
24 of Vernon shall be closed.
25 SECTION 2: Excepting as amended by this Resolution, Reso-
26 lution No. 4019, as amended by Resolution No. 4183, shall remain in
27 full force and effect.
28 SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
29 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
30 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
31 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of December, 1973.
