RESOLUTION NO. 4219
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON COMMENDING
MRS. GENEVIEVE H. ANDERSON FOil HER MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE
CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE Cln OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. MRS. GENEVIEVE H. ANDERSON was appointed to the
City Council of the City of Vernon on September 4, 1945, and has
been a member of the City Council continuously since that time,
until March 12, 1974, and
WHEUAS, MIlS. GENEVIEVE H. ANDERSON has been employed in
the Vernon city area for many years and has been a long-time resi-
dent of the City of Vernon, has contributed her services unsel-
fishly to the City of Vernon, its inhabitants, its employees and
its industry without thought of personal gain for herself, and
WHEREAS, MRS. GENEVIEVE H. ANDERSON has not run for public
office for the present term and will be retiring as a member of
the City Council as of March 12, 1974;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
takes this opportunity to express its great appreciation to MRS.
GI"DIIIE H. ANDERSON for her many years of public service.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

extends its best wishes in whatever endeavors MRS. GENEVIEVE H.
ANDERSON may engage.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 12th day of March, 1974
