RESOLUTION NO. 4227
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF STEINY AND COMPANY FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION-
:3 SANTA FE AVENUE AT VERNON (E) AVENUE IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
378 OF THE CITY OF VERNON

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 378 of the City of Vernon was
7 approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
8 Resolution No. 4217 and sealed bids were opened on the 19th day
9 of March, 1974, and
10 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR.,
11 Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
12 under date of March 20, 1974, recommending that the Contract be
13 executed with STEINY and COMPANY, for the sum of Twenty One Thou-
14 sand Two Hundred Ninety Dollars ($21,290.00), being the lowest
15 bid meeting the contract requirements,
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
17 SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommenda-
19 tion of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works;
20
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
21 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders any
22 cashiers or certified checks deposited with the said bids;
23
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
24 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
25 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of April, 1974.
