5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VElUION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTION NO. 4242
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VElUION ACCEPTING
THE BID OF J. . B. CROSBY COMPANY, INC.. FOR CITY HALL SEWEll. STOIM
DRAIN, AND FllONTAGE IMPllOVEMENT. CONSTllUCTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTBACTNO. 377 OF.THE CITY OF VERNON
6 WHEREAS. Contract No. 377 of the City of Vernon was approved
7 by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution
8 No. 4218 and sealed bids were opened on the the 16th day of April,
9 1974, and
10 WHEREAS. said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON. JR..,

11 Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
12 under date of April 24, 1974. reconnnending that the Contract be
13 executed with J. B. CROSBY COMPANY. INC., for the sum of Forty

14 Eight Thousand Five Hundred Eight Dollars ($48,508.00), being the
15 lowest bid meeting the contract requirements.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
17 SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
18 hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommendation of
19 ARTHtJR E. NELSON, JR.. Director of Public Works;

20 SECTION 2: That all other bids are rej ected and the City
21 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders any
22 cashiers or certified checks deposited with the said bids;
23 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall cer-
.
24 tify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
25 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 7th day of May. 1974.
