RESOLUTION NO. 4246
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF VERNON PAVING COMPANY FOR THE WORK FOR SANTA FE
AVENUE AND 25th-26th STREET INTERSECTION RECONSTRUCTION IN ACCOR-
DANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 332 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND IN ACCOR-
DANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS TOPICS PROJECT NO. T-304l(196).
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, VERNON PAVING COMPANY was awarded the Contract
for Santa Fe Avenue and 25th-26th Street Intersection Reconstruc-
tion in accordance with Contract No. 332 of the City of Vernon
and in accordance with Specifications TOPICS Project No. T-304l(196)
and,
WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public Works
has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon, under
date of March l6, 1974, that said work has been completed and
reconmlends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the
Contractor in accordance with the agreement, and in accordance
with Specifications TOPICS Project No. T-304l(l96),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION l: That the work for Santa Fe Avenue and 25th-26th
Street Intersection Reconstruction in accordance with Contract
No. 332 of the City of Vernon is hereby approved and accepted by
the City of Vernon, subj ect to and conditioned upon the approval
of the Federal Highway Administration, pursuant to Specifications
TOPICS Project No. T-304l(196).
SECTION 2: That a partial payment is now due to the Con-
tractor in the total sum of Three Thousand and Sixty Dollars
($3,060.00) and the same should be paid at this time and the re-
maining ten (lO%) percent of the total Contract amount or the
sum of Nine Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Two Dollars and Thirty
Seven Cents ($9,262.37) is payable thirty five (35) days after
the adoption of this Resolution, subject to the approval of the
Federal Highway Administration as set forth above, and the City
Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs the payment of said

1 sums as set forth to VERNON PAVING COMPANY.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
3 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
4 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
