5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTION NO. 4252
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF J. B. CROSBY COMPANY, INC., FOR PACIFIC BOUIEVARD MEDIAN
CONSTRUCTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 373 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 373 of the City of Vernon was approve
7 by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution
8 No. 4234 and sealed bids were opened on the 2lst day of May, 1974,
9 and
10 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR.,
11 Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
12 under date of May 28, 1974, recommending that the Contract be
13 executed with J. B. CROSBY COMPANY, INC., for the sum of Eight
14 Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty Three Dollars ($8,983.00), being the
15 lowest bid meeting the contract requirements,
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SlCTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommenda-
19 tion of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works;
20
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
21 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders any
22 cashiers or certified checks deposited with the said bids;
23
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
24 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
25 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of June, 1974.
