RESOLUTION NO. 4255
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON EXPRESSING
ITS CONDOLENCES UPON THE DEATH OF LAWRENCE R. BURCH, CITY TREA-
SURER AND CHIEF DEPUTY CITY CLERK
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, LAWRENCE R. BURCH was employed by the City of Vernon
on October l, 1956, and was to have retired on July I, 1974, and
WHEREAS, LAWRENCE R. BURCH died on May 21, 1974, While he was
still active in his capacities as City Treasurer and Chief Deputy
City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon, its employees
and inhabitants will greatly miss the efforts and devotion of
LAWRENCE R. BURCH to the City of Vernon,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
14 SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
15 expresses its condolences and regrets upon the passing of
16 LAWRENCE R. BURCH;
17 SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
18 the family of LAWRENCE R. BURCH to understand that the City Coun-
19 cil appreciates the many years of service of LAWRENCE R. BIRCH,
20 both as City Treasurer and as Chief Deputy City Clerk,
21 SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
22 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
23 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
24 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of June, 1974.
