RESOLUTION NO. 4260
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING COMPANY, INC., FOR JAIL
EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY HALL AND POLICE FACILITY, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 376 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 376 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution Nos. 4230, 4247 and 4254, and sealed bids were opened
on June 4, 1974, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR.,
Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
under date of March 20, 1974, recommending that the Contract for
Jail Equipment for the City Hall and Police Facility be executed
with Central Industrial Engineering Company, Inc., for the sum of
Sixty Thousand One Hundred Forty Dollars ($60,140.00), being the
lowest bid meeting the Contract requirement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I T RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
22 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
23 any cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
25 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
26 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
27 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this l8th day of June, 1974.
