RESOLUTION NO. 4270
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA,
REQUESTING THE.WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION APPEALS BOARD OF THE STATE.
OF CALIFORNIA TO DETERMINE THE ELIGIBILITY FOR RETIREMENT OF A
LOCAL. SAFETY "MEMBER (JAY R. BROWN)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon is
advised and believes that JAY R. BROWN, a Local Safety Member,
should be retired for disability, and
WHEREAS, neither the City of Vernon, as Employer, nor
the Member have agreed upon the effective date of the disability
retirement, or whether said disability is permanent and stationary,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby request from the Workmen's Compensation Appeals Board
of the State of California a determination as to whether JAY R.
BROWN, a Local Safety Member, has received a work-incurred
disability, and whether the same is permanent and stationary and,
if so, the date when said disability became permanent and statio-
nary.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
authorizes the filing of an application on such form or forms as
may be necessary with the Workmen's Compensation Appeals Board to
request a determination as to whether JAY R. BROWN'S disability

is "industrialH.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of
