A USOLUTION OF 'J.'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VEINON COMMDDING
JOB J. CUlDON UPON HIS RETIREMENT AS ENGINEER. GRADE I OF THE
FIRE DEPAl.TMBNT OF THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VEUON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHBIIAS, JOD J. CREEDON, Engineer Grade I of the Fire
Department of the City of Vernon will retire effective September 9,
1974, and

WIllEAS,JOHN J. CIEIDON has been employed by the City
of Vernon since December 9, 1946, and throughout said period of
time has shown a devotion to the City of Vernon and a great dili-
11 gence in his various positions within the Fire Department,

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

hereby c01llmellds JOHN J. CUIDON upon his retirement;

he may undertake;

This is to advise your honorable body that
John J. Creedon of this department has applied for a service
retirement with the Public Employees Retirement System.
Honorable Members:
His retirement will be effective at the close
of the business day September 9, 1974.
John was employed December 9, 1946 and has
served the community in an exemplary manner for nearly 28
years. He always met the high standards of the Vernon Fire
Department and served as a good example for the younger members
of this department.
His leaving will be a loss the City and to
this department.
