Resolution No. 4273 ~ 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 1 RESOLUTION NO. 4273 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA CONSENTING TO ESTABLIS~mNT OF PORTIONS OF BANDINI BOULEVARD WITH- 3 IN SAID CITY AS A PART OF THE SYSTEH OF HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: wHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did on June 25, 1974, duly adopt a Resolution declaring those portions of the herein- after described highways as a part of the Systeffi of Highways of the County of Los Angeles, all as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors by said Resolution requested this Council to give its consent to construct improve- ments and perfo~~ appurtenant work within said portions in the City of Vernon described below; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: SECTION 1: Consent to Inclusion in County Highways Sys- 18 ~. This City Council does hereby consent to the establishment 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 of those portions of the hereinafter described highways within the City of Vernon, as a part of the System of Highways of the County of Los Angeles, as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. Said consent is for the purpose of constructing improvements and per- forming appurtenant work as may be necessary by the County of Los Angeles. SECTION 2: Finding of a Minor Nature. This City Coun- cil does hereby find that pursuant to Government Code. '8 ".....~ ....s_ .11. __ dlMtIll Honorable Board of Supervisors -2- March 3, 1976 Previously your Honorable Board of Supervisors adopted a Resolution declaring those portions of Bandini Boulevard, Atlantic Boulevard and Eastern Avenue lying in the Cities of Vernon, Bell and Commerce~ to be a part of its County System of Highways for the purpose of constructing improvements thereon. Subsequently, the above mentioned Cities consented to the County taking jurisdiction as required under the provisions of the Streets and Highways Code. All improvements commenced by the County of Los Angeles have been fully completed and therefore, it is no longer necessary that the County retain jurisdiction over those portions of the described highways.
