RESOLUTION NO. 4277
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
3 THE BID OF SIGNAL MAINTENANCE INC., FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL l'<1AINTENANCE,
1974~1977, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 384 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, Contract No. 384 was approved by the City Coun-
6 cil of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 4267, and pursuant
7 theretGasealed bid was opened on August 6, 1974, and
8
WHEREAS, said bid was referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR.,
9 Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
10 under date of August 7, 1974, recommending that the Contract be
11 awarded to Signal Maintenance Inc., on the basis of their bid;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
14 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
15 tions of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works, and autho
16 rizes the execution of a contract with Signal Maintenance Inc., for
17 Traffic Signal Maintenance, 1974-1977, according to Contract No.
18 384, heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

Signal Maintenance Inc., is not sufficient but that the same is a
22
mere informality, and said informality is hereby waived by the
23
City Council of the City of Vernon upon condition that prior to the
24
execution of said contract a $5,000.00 bond, approved by the City
25
Attorney of the City of Vernon, be deposited with the City Clerk

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 20th day of August, 1974.
