A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COuNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING

DRAIN AND FRONTAGE IMPROVlME.NT PURSUANT TO CONTRACT NO. 377
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, J. B. CROSBY COMPANY, INC., was awarded the
Contract for City Hall Sewer, StDr-m Drain and Frontage Improvement
pursuant to Contract No. 377 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works
has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon under date
of September 13, 1974, that said work has been completed and
recommends that the work be' accepted and payment be made to the
contrator in accordance with the Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the work for City Hall Sewer, Storm
Drain and Frontage Improvement pursuant to Contract No. 377 is
hereby approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The total Contract amount is Forty Seven
Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Two Dollars ($47,652.00). That there
is now due to the Contractor the final partial payment totaling
Four Hundred Thirty Three Dollars and Fifty Cents ($433.50),
which should be paid at this time and the remaining Fifteen Per-
cent (15%) of the total Contract Amount or the sum of Seven thou-
sand One Hundred Forty Seven Dollars and Sixty Cents ($7,147.60)
is payable Thirty Five (35) days after the adoption of this Reso-
lution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs
payment of said sums as set forth to J. B. CROSBY COMPANY, INC.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
