5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTION NO. 4292
A RESOLUTION OF THE CIn CouNCIl., OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING

STRUCTION, IN ACCOIWANCE WI'.pi CONTRACT NO. _379 OF. THE CITY OF '
VERNON.
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. J.:'19 of the City of Vernon was approved
7 by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution
8 No. 4268, and sealed bids were opened on September 17, 1974, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR.,
, - -
Director-of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
under date of September 24, 1974, recommending that the Contract
for the Reconstruction of Washington Boulevard be executed with
Vernon Paving Company, on the basis of their bid Proposal II,
Alternate "B", for the sum of Two Hundred Eighty Three Thousand
Two Hundred Twenty Two Dollars ($283,222.00), being the lowest
bid meeti ng the Contract requirement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommendation
of ARTHUR E. NE~ON, JR., Director of Public Works.
21 SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
22 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders any
23 cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.
24 SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
25 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
26 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
