5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTION NO. 4297
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COuNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF STEINY & COMPANY , INC., FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL :rNST~:"
TION- SANTA FE AVENUE 4T VERNON (E) AVENUE,. IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 378 OF THE CITY OF VERNON .,.
6 WHEREAS, STEINY & COMPANY, INC., was awarded the Contract
7 for Traffic Signal Installation - Santa Fe Avenue at Vernon (E)
8 Avenue, pursuant to Contract No. 378 of the City of Vernon, and
9 WHEREAS, ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works has
10 reported to the City Councilor the City of Vernon under date of
11 November 21, 1974, that said work has been completed and recommends
12 that the work be accepted and payment be made to the Contractor in
13 accordance with the Agreement;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
15 SECTION 1: That the work: for Traffic Signal Installation _
16 Santa Fe Avenue at Vernon (E). Avenue, pursuant to Contract No. 378
17 is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.
18 SECTION 2: The total Contract amount is Twenty Thousand
19 Nine Hundred and Ninety Dollars ($20,990.00). That there is now
20 due to the Contractor the final partial paYment totaling One Hundre
21 Six Dollars and Ninety Three Cents ($106.93), which should be paid
22 at this time and the remaining Fifteen Percent (15%) of the total
-
23 Contract amount or the sum of Three Thousand One Hundred Forty Eigh
24 Dollars and Fifty Cents ($3,148.50), is payable Thirty Five (35)
25 days after the adoption of this Resolution and the City Council of
26 the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth
27 to STEINY & COMPANY, INC.
28 SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
29 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
30 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
