A RESOLUTION OF THE 'CI':rY'COuNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DETACHING
c:ERTAIN ,TERRITORY FRQM THE SOUTHEAST MOSQUI'l'O ABAT:EMENT-DI~TRIC+
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon did annex certain territory
designated as (a) "United States Steel Corporation AnnexationU,

(b) "Bandini No. 1 Annexation", (c) "Atl.antic No. 1 Annexation" ,

and (d) "Riverside #2 Annexation", lying within the Southeast Mos-
quito Abatement District; and
WHEREAS, the Secretary of the State of California did certif
as to the completion of such annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION!: The City Council of'the City of Vernon does here-
by request that certain territory designated as (a) "United States

Steel Corporation Annexation", (b) "Bandini No. 1 Annexationft,

(c) "Atlantic No. 1 Annexation", and (d) "Riverside 12 Annexation"

17 be detached from the Southeast Mosquito Abatement District. Said
annexations are more particularly described in an application to
initiate proceedings, pursuant to Sections56000, et seq., of the
Government Code, to the Local Agency Formation Commission County
of Los Angeles, designated, "City of Vernon Detachment No.1,
Parcels (a), (b), (c) and (d)."
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution with the
Local Agency Formation Connnission County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall cer-
tify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
