A RESOLUTION OF THECITYCOtJNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING
$PECIFICATION NO.. 382.ANDAUTHORIZING, NOTICE INVITING SEALED PRO-
POSALS OR BIDS FOR THE., :FURNISHING~ . DELIVERING, AND INSTALLING TO
THE CITY OF VERNON, FIRE, DEPARTMENT RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATION No. 382 ..
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Vernon, Specification No. 382 for the furnishing,
delivering, and installing to the City of Vernon, Fire Department
Radio Communications System, in accordance with Specification No.
382, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has deter-
mined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon that
said Specification be awarded in accordance with applicable state
laws,

hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the City
of Vernon a copy of Specification No. 382.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to give Notice, in writing, inviting sealed pro-
posals or bids for the furnishing, delivering, and installing to
the City of Vernon, Fire Department Radio Communications System,
in accordance with Specification No. 382, and in accordance with
this Resolution.
SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circulation
printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the City
Clerk is hereby directed to post said Notice, or cause the same
to be posted, in three (3) of the most public places in the City
of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa
Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific

Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City
Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in
said City.
SECTION 5: The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained '. that the general prevailing rate of per diem wages
and the rates for legal holidays and for overtime work in the
locality in which the work is to be perfonned, described in
Specification No. 382, for each craft or type of workman or mec-
hanic needed to execute the Specification, which will be awarded
to the successful bidder, and that the general prevailing rate of
per diem wages and rates for legal holidays, for overtime work in
the locality of the execution of Specification No. 382, for each
craft, classification or type of workman needed is set forth in
said Specification and incorporated by reference at this point
for all purposes as if set forth in full and hereby approved by
the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 6: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to post said Notice forthwith and the first pos-
ting of said Notice shall be not less than ten (10) days before

the opening of bids for the proposed work. That said Notice sha1
provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the Cit
of Vernon, California, at the Office of the City Clerk of said
City at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California
90058, until the hour of two (2) o'clock P.M., on the 4th day of
February, 1975, and in accordance with Specification No. 382
approved by said City.
SECTION 7: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certixy to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 17th day of December, 1974.

4 Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Vernon,
5 California at the City Clerk's Office of said City at 4305 Santa
6 Fe Avenue, Vernon, California 9()058 until 2:00P.M. on February
7 4, 1975, for furnishing, delivering, and installing for the City
8 of Vernon, a Fire Department Radio Communications System in..
9 accordance with Specification No. 382 approved by said City. The
10 proposals will be publicly opened and read in the Council Chamber
11 of the City Hall, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, Ca1i-
12 fornis, on the date and at the above-mentioned time. The Speci-
13 fication may be obtained at the City Clerk's Office.
14 The equipment to be furnished under said Specification is
15 as follows:
16 FIRE DEPARTMENT RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
17 (The Equipment List to be suppl.iedis set forth in Specifi-
18 cation No. 382, a copy of which is on file in the City Clerk's
19 Office of the City of Vernon, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue~ Vernon,
20 California 90058, and is also available at the Office of the
21 Purchasing Agent of the City of Vernon, located at the same
22 address)
23 The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to
24 waive any information in any bid, and to make awards as the
25 interests of the City may require.
26 The bidder is required to specify the proposed date of com-
27 p1etion.
28 Each proposal must be delivered to the City Clerk's Office
29 in a sealed envelope at or before the time stated in this Notice
30 and must be plainly marked: "Proposal For The Furnishing, De1i-
