THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEBlAS, the City Clerk of the City of Vernon, under date of
.January 10, 1975, has recommended that certain records, documents,
instruments, books and,apers under his charge and under the
charge of other department heads be destroyed, and
WHEREAS, tlle City Council of the City of Vernon finds that
none o:ftheforegoing records affect the title te real property,
er liens thereon, and
WHEB.EAS, the City Councilef the City of Vernon fiads that
none of said records are court records nor are records required
to be kept by statu~e, and that the sane are morf! than seven ,', ,.ear
o~c1' and that none of said records are minutes, ordinances, er
resolutions of the~(i!,islat~v(i!bod,. of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, the written consent of the City Attorney and the
l1.(i!ads o~ ,a~h...,propriate CitlDepartment to the destruction of
such records have been obtaineel,
NOW, THEDFOU, BE IT USOLVED:
SECTION 1.: That the City Council of the City ef Vernon
does, hereby authorize the destructien by the 4epartment head ia
charge of saiel recerds, without sakiag a copy thereof.
SEC'l'IOR 2: That the City COUD.cil of the City of Vernon
finds that" the same are ne' longer refluired fer any purposes of
the City of Venon.
