RESOLUTION NO. 4308
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE BID OF SAFBTY, STRIPING SBRVICEFOR PAVEMENT STRIPING 1975. IN
ACCORDANCB WITH CONTRACT NO. 386 OFTHB CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 386 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution No. 4304, and sealed bids were opened on January 21,
1975, and
WHEREAS. said bids _re referred to .A.B.ftUB. E. NELSON,JR.
Director of Public Works. who has reported to the City Council
under date of January 29. 1975. reco~ending that the Contract for
Pavement Striping 1975, be executed with Safety Striping Service.
on the basis for their bid in the sum of Fifteen Thousand One
Hundred Forty Bight Dollars and Ninety Four Cents ($15.148.94).
being the lowest bid meeting the Contract requirement.
NOW, THEREFORE t BE IT RESOLVED:
SBCTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the Contract in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of ARTHUR E. NELSON, JR., Director of Public Works.
SBCTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the
City Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful
bidders any cashiers or certified checks deposited with said bids.
SBCTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of February, 1975.
